Manager - How to create a Template

This article guides you through creating a customized template as a Manager using the Inbox (Conversations) module.

We recommend that managers primarily use the templates provided by the organization, but they also have the option to create new templates if needed. If a manager develops a template that could be useful to other managers or the wider organization, they should share it with HR so it can be co-created and made available broadly.

When building your customized template in MyQ7Leader, consider these preparatory steps:

  1. Define the Purpose: Identify the goal of the template (e.g., performance review, coaching, feedback session) and the expected outcomes.

  2. Choose Key Themes: Select 3–5 main themes to organize your conversation, such as Performance, Strengths, Career Development, or Feedback.

  3. Draft Questions: You can combine open-ended questions that encourage reflection and discussion and closed-ended questions that could help your organization gain quick insights on particular topics.

  4. Structure the Conversation: Organize your template into logical sections.
