0:02 Hi there, my name is Kendra and my role is brewer and distiller. I do not manage any team members. Today I'm going to be reviewing the public role description and profiles library that my company has published.
0:13 As you can see in the role description and profiles library all the roles are organized in different sections called RDP families.
0:20 RDP stands for role descriptions and profiles and as you can see our company is trilingual. We speak Dutch, French and English and every role has been published in all of these three languages.
0:31 In your company it might be different so you might only speak one language or two languages or your company might decide to only publish the library in one language.
0:41 I want to review my personal role so as I said I'm a brewer and distiller and I want to review the English version of it so I'm going to just scroll in production and find the brewer and distiller and I'm going to click on read more.
0:55 Here I have some general information about my role so this is the internal role title, this is the external role title, and this is the role title of my manager.
1:05 The role family is production and here we have the MBPR. My company has decided to publish the MBPR. MBPR stands Based Pay Range and in your company it might be different, your company might have not done this exercise before.
1:20 They might not have this information and you might not be able to see this in your case. So as I said in my case, my company has published this and these numbers here indicate the minimum and maximum salary range for my role, so for a brewer and distiller compared to the market data.
1:39 And in the middle you will find the median wage. Just below you will find the general expectations of the role.
1:46 So there are seven general expectations profile. As you can see, I'm an administrator, so here I can consult the general definitions of what is an administrator.
1:55 So what is an administrator role? So this will help me to understand what is expected from me generally. Just below you will find the specific expectations of the role.
2:08 So these are the definitions that my company has created for my role, so for brewer and distiller specifically. In this case, I can consult what is expected from a brewer and distiller.
2:22 At the bottom of it, you will find management practices of the role which are always linked to the general expectations profile, so in this case to an administrator.
2:31 I can consult these management practices to see what is expected of my manager in order to manage a person that is in my role.
2:39 So this is also very useful for my manager who can consult it and he or she can see how best to manage a person in my At the bottom here we will find the interview questions of the role, which are mostly relevant to HR, who is going to use these questions, uhm when hiring a new person for the role.
