Feature Highlight: Objectives Cycles

The Objective Cycles feature helps organize objectives by specific time frames, such as yearly or quarterly cycles.

The Objective Cycles feature allows you to group objectives within defined time periods, such as yearly, quarterly, or custom cycles. When enabled, selecting a cycle becomes mandatory when creating new objectives, ensuring objectives are aligned with the relevant time frame. If the feature is disabled, objectives can be created without cycle restrictions, offering more flexibility for continuous goal management.

0:02 Hi there. In this video, we will discuss the feature called Objective Cycles, which allows us to enable or disable the usage of cycles for the objectives.
0:12 What do the cycles do? When we create a new cycle, it can be either on a yearly basis or a smaller part of the year, a quarter or six months.
0:21 But you're really not limited, you can even do, uh, custom dates as you want, because you will, you determine the dates here.
0:27 Uh, these, um, cycles will allow us to group the objectives by cycle. So now that I have these two cycles in my platform, I can go to objectives.
0:36 And when I try to create a new objective, the field, uh, cycle will be, um, obligatory, so I have to choose one cycle of the two, uh, or more cycles if I have more cycles at the same time.
0:49 So, um, here I can, uh, choose, for example, the current cycle, it will always be highlighted if the cycle is within the, uh, is taking in consideration today's date.
1:01 So, uh, it's always relative to today. So, uh, this will be obligatory. And I will not be able to create a new objective without choosing a cycle.
1:08 Uh, however, if the feature is switched off, then the objective cycles page will disappear from here. So now I can create a new objective and the cycle option will disappear.
1:21 So, uh, this is more, um, useful for companies that do not use, uh, cycles for objectives and that prefer to have, uh, continuous, uh, objectives, uh, without any, uh, restrictions.
1:35 However, even though cycles are off, uh, the due date is still an obligatory, uhm, uh, field here. So you don't have to group objectives by cycle, but you do need to have a due date for your objectives.
1:48 Thank you for watching.
